Today, we’re announcing three new inbox features that will make your time in Gmail more effective: Inbox Bump and Prospect Indicator and Prospect Filtering. These are just the first in a series of innovative new releases we’re planning for your email workflow over the next few months - whether you’re in Gmail or Outlook. Does your to-do list of email follow ups look like this?
We’ve created inbox bump to give you a better way to remember when you need to follow up with a prospect. Bump allows you to move an email back to the top of your inbox after a certain time or date, and based off of certain conditions.
For instance, you can set the email to resurface to the top of your inbox if you don’t receive a reply in a certain amount of time. You can also schedule a bump back to the top of your inbox within a certain timeframe, no matter what - whether or not you get a reply.
Customers: You can access this feature in your Outreach menu in Gmail by selecting “Follow-Up.”
You want most of your emails in Outreach, but you definitely don’t want the whole team to see that email you just sent your doctor about that weird foot fungus you noticed last week. Or even the emails you send back and forth across the team.
We've added a new setting at the org level to allow teams to limit their Outbox and Activity Feed to prospect mailings only. Now, Outreach admins can filter out emails with internal domains and more.
With this filter on, non-prospect mailings are not accessible to Outreach users. Admins can find this option in Org Settings, below the "Block creation of prospects" setting. In order for this to work effectively, orgs will need to be sure to add their own domains to the "Block creation of prospects" setting and ensure that no prospects currently exist for internal employees.
When you’re working from your inbox and emailing with hundreds of prospects every day, it’s hard to keep track of who is who.
Now, Outreach adds a prospect indicator to contacts in Gmail who are either:
If a contact is blocked for prospect creation (for instance, someone on your company domain) the contact in Gmail will not have a dot. With this update, you’ll always know if you’re emailing with a current prospect, or whether you’ve uncovered a potential new prospect who you should add into a sequence.
These updates are just the beginning of a series of continued investments for both Gmail and Outlook to enable you to work more seamlessly between your inbox and Outreach.
