What a whirlwind this past week has been! Unleash ‘18 took over Paradise Point in San Diego for 3 days of incredible content, connections and cocktails. We want to thank the nearly 700 (!) of you who attended, participated in breakouts or spoke during a session. We had a blast and hope you did too!

To be honest, we’re sad it’s over. To help you (and us) battle the post-Unleash blues, we have put together the top five moments of what many attendees called the best sales conference of the year!

1. “Revenue Efficiency is a moral imperative”

Outreach CEO and co-founder, Manny Medina, opened Unleash and set the tone for the entire conference. One of the main takeaways was the idea that revenue efficiency is an absolute moral imperative. Building pipeline and bringing in revenue in the most efficient way possible is at the top of the list for not just the C-suite, but every member of your company’s team.

2. Matt Millen was a race car driver?!?

Who knew Outreach SVP of Revenue Operations, Matt Millen, had vied for the checkered flag at Daytona? When he took the stage during the opening keynote wearing his flame-resistant suit, it definitely grabbed people’s attention. But what made an even bigger impact was the exponential increase in efficiency when teams adopt a strategy of specialization and preparation he illustrated.

3. The force of nature known as Jocko Willink

When Retired Navy SEAL, best-selling author and leadership consultant, Jocko Willink, strode onto the stage, the crowd was silent. His intensity, coupled with the content of his presentation, captivated every member of the audience. Hearing about the battles, burdens and successes he experienced while serving, and how the lessons he learned can be applied to all aspects of life, left an indelible mark on many attendees. Phrases like “own it,” and “discipline equals freedom,” were heard throughout the conference following Jocko’s session, and people lined up down the block for a chance to meet the acclaimed author.

4. 3 days in Paradise!

Not only was the content stellar, but the setting was serene! Paradise Point provided the perfect backdrop to learn, connect and collaborate during Unleash ‘18. From the large and well-appointed meeting rooms to the view of Mission Bay to the Barefoot Bar (where many attendees ended their nights), Paradise Point exceeded all expectations! I mean, how many conferences can you go to where you have every meal on a sunny patio just feet from the pristine San Diego shoreline? As Jack said in Lost, “We have to go back!”

5. The. Top. Gun. Party.

Please ensure your seats and tray tables are in their locked and upright position! This party had it all: High-five tunnels, fighter jets, Incredible live music, delicious drinks, and tasty food. Oh, and TOM CRUISE (or a close approximation)! The Top Gun Party at the Air & Space Museum following the first full day was a sight to behold. Surrounded by aviation history, attendees had the perfect setting to network and revisit the day’s learnings. Hopefully, you were able to snag a photo with Maverick himself.

And that’s just to name a few. Other highlights include all of the amazing breakout sessions that allowed attendees to take deep-dive into topics they care about, the closing beach party with a pitch-perfect Beach Boys cover band, Joseph McClendon III’s moving and entertaining General Session speech to open day 2 and so much more!
