Roll out the red carpet, because April was Outreach’s award season! As an org, we were thrilled to announce an additional $144M in our Series E funding, pushing our valuation to $1.1B. While we celebrated our official unicorn status, Manny still insisted on business as usual with his Cup of Noodles lunches. As we continue to reach for the stars, we stay grounded and focused on our spectacular people, stellar service, and commitment to standing up the #1 Sales Engagement Platform. Here’s a quick snapshot into what dropped last month and what else we’re celebrating!
Putting You in the Driver's Seat with New Granular Opt-Outs
In our quest to deliver the best sales engagement platform, we’ve launched Granular Opt-Outs, which allows you to fine-tune your communications by reaching buyers via their preferred channels. With this new feature, prospect opt-out requests are no longer “one and done,” but are now broken down by each channel (email, call, texting), allowing you to communicate through other channels while staying GDPR compliant.
For example, unsubscribe email links will now only opt a prospect out of email communication. Additionally, if a prospect requests to no longer be called, a rep can mark the prospect “opted out” from future calls while still allowing text and email communications. In addition, any existing opted out prospects are updated to be opted out of all communication types.
Granular opt-outs is available for both new and existing customers, and can be synced back into Salesforce. For more information, read our support article and connect with your CSM to get set up!

Outreach received two great distinctions in April. We were especially excited because both were nominations spearheaded by our peers and our customers. Check it out!
At the 2019 AA-ISP Leadership Summit in Chicago, we were honored to be awarded “Service Provider of the Year.” Voted on by the entire AA-ISP community, Outreach was selected out of hundreds of other amazing organizations, and we are committed to continue delivering the best people and services that come with the #1 sales engagement platform!
We were also honored to recognized as an April 2019 Customers’ Choice for Sales Force Automation by our customers. According to Gartner, “The Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice is a recognition of vendors in this market by verified end-user professionals.”
To ensure fair evaluation, Gartner maintains rigorous criteria for recognizing vendors with a high customer satisfaction rate. We’re thrilled that our customers are seeing great gains from using Outreach, and we will continue to use customer feedback to shape our product and services.

Three Women at Outreach are Finalists for the 2019 Women in Sales Awards!
We are proud to announce that Brooke Bachesta (Sales Development Manager), Brooke Simmons (Director of Enterprise Customer Success), and Julianne Thompson (Sales Development Manager) have been selected as finalists for the 2019 Women in Sales Awards! These women were nominated based on feedback from their managers and teams for their determination and hard work, as well as their leadership in the sales community. Congratulations!

Brooke’s goal is to ensure Outreach is employing well rounded, thoughtful and compassionate sales leaders, and dedicates much of her time to promoting employee growth. She was also named as “saleswoman to watch” by #GirlsClub, an organization built to get more women in front-line management and sales leadership.

As Outreach’s first Customer Success/Account Management team hire, Brooke has helped scale Outreach from 100 to 3,300 customers while simultaneously maintaining a 130% net retention rate — one of the highest in the sales engagement industry. As a founding member of the Success team, she prides herself on her ability to help others succeed and is trusted by Outreach’s top customers.
Julianne Thompson, Sales Development Manager
Nomination: Best Sales Mentor
Julianne’s mentorship efforts have played a critical role in developing career paths for sales development representatives. Julianne acts as a guide for these young sales reps who are just starting out in their careers, working to develop their skill sets and accomplish their long term goals. She helps run the local Tampa AA-ISP chapter and organizes networking events for local salespeople who are looking to strategize and share best practices. Julianne was also named as a “Saleswoman to Watch” by #GirlsClub, an organization built to get more women in front-line management and sales leadership, and her management practices have become an integral part Outreach’s culture.
